Boom...John Madden has retired from broadcasting, effective immediately. I wonder who will now state the obvious to millions of network viewers during primetime football games now. More importantly, is it a coincidence that Madden retires the same season as his mancrush target Brett Favre?I don't want to start any rumors here, but some intrepid investigative journalist may want to start going through rehearsal hall bookings in Iowa and Vermont.
