Week 4 picks: The 'Pine gets no bye...

Week 4 is upon us. Last week, we went a very disappointing 6-10. Unfortunately, here at the 'Pine, we get no byes. Every week, we've got to bring it. So it's time to buckle down. This week, less worry on being funny and coming up with stuff to write, more emphasis on picking winners.

STEELERS (-1.5) v Ravens

The Steelers can't really go 4-0 without the walking public indecency charge, can they? Seeing as how they are at home and the Ravens let the Browns run all over them, we're thinking they can.

BTPC pick: Ravens getting 1.5

Broncos (+6.5) v TITANS

CJ2K hasn't really looked that great. 6.5 is too much for a Broncos team that doesn't make mistakes.

BROWNS (+3) over Bengals

Cleveland has played some tough football to be in a 0-3 hole. The Bengals overlook them and pay for it.

PACKERS (-14.5) over Lions

Jahvid Best is a game time decision for Detroit. Because of that, we're gonna go the pack.

BTPC pick: Pack laying 14.5

Panthers (+13.5) over SAINTS

Yes, Pierre Thomas may be out. But the Saints are coming off a L and the Panthers still are starting Jimmy Claussen.

BTPC pick: Saints laying 13.5

FALCONS (-7) over 49ers

At this point, could they make a spread you didn't think the 49ers would not cover?

BTPC pick: Atlanta laying 7.

Seahawks (-1) over RAMS

The Hawks seem to be doing it with smoke and mirrors. Jackson is a game time decision for the Rams.

BTPC pick: Hawks laying 1.

Jets (-5.5) over BILLS

Bills looked tough last week against Pats, managing to put up 30.

BTPC pick: Bills getting 5.5 UPSET SPECIAL!

Colts (-7) over JAGUARS

Del Rio and Garrard are in danger of losing their jobs.

BTPC pick: Colts laying 7.

RAIDERS (+3) over Texans

That crashing sound you heard was the Texans dropping back to earth and AJ is questionable for this one.

CHARGERS (-8) over Cardinals

Phillip Rivers is headed for a lot of stats and little wins this year. This will be one of them.

BTPC pick: Chargers laying 8.

EAGLES (-5.5) over Redskins

They are actually debating whether or not McNabb will get booed in Philly. Then McNabb is stupid enough to publicly state he hopes it's cheers. Uh...Philly fans booed Santa, D-Nabb. And you ain't bringing any gifts...

GIANTS (-4) over Bears

When is it time to wonder if the Giants are tuning Coughlin out?

DOLPHINS (+1) over Patriots

Henne one again looked like Marino against the Jets. Against a Pats team with a weak secondary, that should continue
