When will the glass ceiling in MLB break?

ESPN recently had a profile piece on LA Dodger Assistant GM Kim Ng. Last September, there was a lot of talk that Ng may get the Seattle Mariners GM job, but that did not happen. Currently, there is speculation she may be promoted within to the Dodgers' top slot. Despite the Dodgers' recent success, GM Nick Colletti's contract is set to expire soon and there has been no talk of an extension.

While it's hard to believe LA would let Colletti go if he wins a second straight division championship, as Jon Weisman notes: it's hard to imagine the history-conscious Dodgers letting MLB's first female GM slip through their fingers.
