Florence is representin'

As of 3:00 pm today, Florence County had voted approximately 3950 voters (that's paper and electronic). They had voted almost 300 today alone at that time. Looking at the numbers for 2004's General Election in Florence County, that would mean we have almost already voted a fifth of voters we did four years ago.
If you needed any reason to go vote early, think about those numbers. Polls are going to be ridiculi on November 4th. Go now and vote absentee. Your eligible to vote absentee if you will be working, are a student, are 65+, are disabled, will be out of town, serving jury duty or several other factors (check out scvotes.org for a full list). In Florence, all you have to do is go down to the Voter Registration office at the DSS building on the corner of Hwy 52 and Third Loop Road. I've been over there twice this week and both times they were very busy but people were getting in and out between 20 and 30 minutes. That's time enough to vote and grab a sandwich on a lunch break. Make it happen.
