John McCain is a fool. He fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: Never claim your hail-mary, intellectually-uncurious vice presidential running mate is the most qualified in recent memory.
That's the nugget he dropped in an interview with Imus:
"I think she's the most qualified of anyone recently who has run for vice president to tell you the truth..."I'm frankly entertained at the elitist attidue toward a person who is a proven leader."
